Elizabeth Orsi was born and raised in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada.  She currently resides in Michigan.

She attended the University of Windsor and received a Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Sociology.  Elizabeth continued her education by pursuing a Masters Degree in Sociology, with an emphasis on social structures and their impact within the community.   She graduated with Honors based on her academic performance in both degrees.

Elizabeth continued her legal education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in the Canadian American Dual J.D. program.  She participated as a Caseworker through Community Legal Aid in Windsor, Ontario, while remaining a strong advocate for those who were wrongfully convicted of crimes through her Presidency of the Windsor Chapter of Innocence Canada.  Elizabeth aided low-income communities in providing access to wills and estate planning through the Pro Bono Students of Canada Chapter at Windsor Law as their Wills Program Coordinator.

She graduated in 2018 from the Canadian American Dual J.D. program with an American law degree and a Canadian law degree.

During law school, Elizabeth worked at law firms specialized in real estate, wills, estate planning, family law, civil litigation, and personal injury.  She gained a mass repertoire of legal knowledge in a vast array of practice areas. From 2019, Elizabeth worked as an attorney at a large-scale law firm with offices in Windsor, Ontario and Amherstburg, Ontario practicing real estate, wills, estates, and business law.

Elizabeth came to Michigan and began working with Derrick George after practicing as a licensed attorney in Ontario.  Since then, she has expanded her areas of practice which now include criminal defense, wills, estate planning and business law.  Elizabeth is licensed to practice as an attorney in Michigan as well as Ontario, Canada.

With Michigan’s proximity to the Canadian border, Elizabeth’s dual licensing provides a unique and highly desirable skillset. George Law often represents Canadian citizens facing legal issues who need attorneys that understand the impact that a criminal charge could have on maintaining U.S. work visas. International business transactions and international litigation are commonplace between Canada and The United States as well. Elizabeth can competently navigate these matters and use her expert knowledge of both legal systems, to help clients reach their desired outcomes.
